220 Gallon Fish Tank Dimensions

Can I keep 4-6 Discus fish in a 55 gallon tank?

Dimensions are approx. 48″ x 12″ x 18″
Marineland c-220 canister filter
some live plants
it’s actually 48 x 12 x 20

Your tank is actually 45 gal, but still 6 Discus should be fine in it.

I would consider a second filter though, Discus are a larger predatory cichlid so they make a fair amount of waste, but need very good water quality.

Plant the tank well, it will give the Discus the cover they prefer, and help maintain the water quality.
