Does an under gravel filter work better with a more powerful air pump?
I have a 1.5 gallon betta fish tank with a complete setup, but food debre tends to gather at the bottom of the tank and the under gravel filter doesn’t pick it up. Would the filter work better with a more powerful air pump?
If you have the tank i think you have then you have a stone filter. And a stone filter can not pick up food debris. A stone filter just cleans particles out of the water. Also if you have food debris maybe your feed the fish to much? I would just change his/her water once a week and make sure you put tap water treatment in the water when you change it.
