I just brought my koi in from the pond 2 days ago and put them in an aquarium and they wont eat?
they are all active and I have not changed their food. I am not sure what to do. Don’t really want to feed them flakes cause the water gets nasty and I never fed them flakes anyway. Help me please!
I live in Minnesota and winter will be here soon and my pond isn’t deep enough to keep them out all winter.
Feed just a bit, remove uneaten food, and feed again the next day. Do this until they eat – they will come around, they always do. It takes a very long time for these fish to starve, so there is nothing to worry about and no need to resort to foods that you don’t want to feed them. If you feed pellets you don’t need flakes and I don’t use flakes either for the same reasons.
