How do you install a uv sterilizer for a koi pond?
I have an Atlantic skimmer, Cyprio XL1000 pump (1200 GPH), and a waterfall. I need to know the configuration that works best. Any recommendations re which brand of uv is best will be appreciated.
Cyprio makes great UV sterilizers. This one is new: Cyprio Vorton Ultraviolet Clarifier and has some nice features.
You can place most UV sterilizers these days in-line with your filter, either placing it before or after the filter, but refer to the actual UV unit that you purchase and it’ll tell you specifically where that unit should go if there is a specific location.
Make sure your pond has cycled before adding your UV unit.
Oh- other good brands: Pond Master; Tetra; Aqua or Cal Pump, just to name a few.
