Fish Tank Algae Problems

Easy way to clean algae from fish tank decorations?
Hi there:
Is there any EASY way to clean the algae from my fish tank decorations? I don’t have a bad algae problem, just some minor unsightly green algae growing on my lava rock and coral decorations. Besides getting a toothbrush and scrubbing every square inch of each decoration, is there an easier way to remove this stuff? Is there something that will “loosen it up” so it comes off easier when I take a toothbrush to it? This is in a freshwater 55 gallon aquarium with live plants.
You can soak them in a bleach solution but if they decorations have any paint or coloring added to them it may remove that as well. I think a bit of algae adds character to a tank!
