I have a tropical fish tank?

I have a tropical fish tank 2ft 6 by 15 to 23. and it was serviced last night and I was talking to the man who cleans it and said I would like something that swims on the bottom all the time something that’s different. and he said try some banana shrimps and have 4 in the tank. That’s more commonly known as a Wood Shrimp/Bamboo Shrimp. It’s a filter feeder and requires a strong current in which to feed. They get pretty large but your other fish aren’t big fans of current so this shrimp may well not be suitable. Also, they don’t stay on the bottom, they go to whereever the best place is to catch the current, which might be on top of a bit of decor near the outflow of your filter! I had one of these once, it died as I was doing a partial water change and hadn’t noticed until it was too late, they are at their most fragile after they shed and he had decided to do it in the filter casing! Silly beast. It died the next day.

And you have someone that cleans your tank for you? But cleaning the tank is one of the best bits of fishkeeping ownership! I could never have someone else do that for me.
