Fish Tank Cloudy Green Water

I need help with pale green water in a fish tank.?
I had asked a question a bit ago about cloudy water, but a better description is that it is pale green in color. It is actually clear just pale green. I had done a major water change and that may have been part of it.
Yesterday we had the water tested at a pet store and it seemed fine. Should I use alge remover, remove gravel and decor and boil them as directed at the store, or is there a better resolution? This is a 39 gallon hexagon tank with about 10 smaller community fish and has been established for 5 months with no issues and the tank was very clear.
Thanks to all of you. Great information. One last thing though this tank is in my sons room which is somewhat dark as we leave the blinds closed to help the tank. He uses the fish tank kind of as a night light/comfort when he occasionally wakes up during the night. The tank light goes on at 8 p.m. and off at 6:30 .am. Is this too long? The room has got a bit hotter as the weather has gotten nicer too.
Wooahh stop there and do not act on what the store have told you. If you were to boil up everything, all you will accomplish is losing your good bacteria so your tank will no longer be established and youll end up with deaths.
All you are seeing is algae diluted in the water and it although it may look ugly it is perfectly safe for the fish as long for now. The simple remedy to this is to make sure your tank is away from direct sunlight and reduce the time your tanks lighting is on. If your room temperature has gone up lately this would have aided the algae in producing faster. Also keep the nitrates down as low as possible with water changes and the water changes will also help to dilute down the algae that you have.
Hope this helps
