Can you make a mini greenhouse from a old fish tank?

I have a 5 gallon tank. I put my little seeds in a egg crate and sat them in there. I cover the top with clear saran wrap and taped it around it.
I am keeping it outside is that a problem as well, living in Delaware?
This is being used for starting of my tomato plant seeds. They will then be transfered.

Yes, definitely, as long as it’s some-what intact-meaning the glass or plastic isn’t falling all over the place. All it really has to do is maintain the warmth and moisture. It’s not like it has to hold water.
