How to get rid of a goldfish?

So I have 8 goldfish ( I got 4 from a friend, one from a cousin (had to take it, she was starving it), one from a teacher, and two from the carnival) all in a 20 gallon tank. I know I shouldn’t have gotten that many in the first place, but now it’s becoming a health hazard. I can’t build a pond, and I can’t buy more fish tanks. Nobody wants them and dumping them in a lake is illegal.

You might try to donate them another school or maybe a retirement home. It will definitely take some calling around to make that happen, but that is how I found a new home for a turtle (which live for many years). Good luck!
