How to make a movie clip in macromedia flash 2004?

I have to make an animation of a fish tank and I’m trying to get some seaweed to move a bit.

All I want to do is have a curved line and make it wobble. I can make the movie clip and when I double click it, it plays how I want it to but when I go to my main stage/scene it doesn’t move at all and stays as a curved line.

I just want to know how to make my movie clip work in my main scene.

Have you tried to preview the flash animation with Ctrl and Enter? When you’re at the Main Stage, you can’t see the animation of the symbol. But if you press Ctrl and Enter when you’re on the Main Stage it should work. So you can publish it without any problems.
