Fish Tank Rocks For Sale

How do you properly clean a fish tank for fish?
My aunt gave me a tank and stand for my Betta fish at a garage sale because I only have a bowl for my Betta and was looking to upgrade. However, she previously used it for reptiles of some sort. Probably a gecko. Anyways, there was sand and a couple of rocks at the bottom of the tank. I cleaned those out and scrubbed down the tank with warm water and soap.
I heard you weren’t supposed to use soap for cleaning fish tanks though, so I was wondering what to clean it with now that I’ve gotten all the sand, rocks, stains out and off of the tank.
Also, Bonus:
What types of fish might survive in a glass bowl without a pump of any sort? I wanted to get Neon Tetras, but someone told me they needed a pump.
as someone said, let the tank soak for a day or two with plain water, then empty and go over with a gentle scrubber. you are never supposed to use soaps on cleaning a tank because they have chemicals which may linger around and harm you fish (they will not die from the smell…this is incorrect.)
no fish SHOULD live in a bowl, particularly with no filter. neon tetras are actually not hardy, and will die quickly without proper care (including water changes, pumps AND a heater – they are tropical fish). they also need to be kept in groups of 6+, which require at least a 10gallon tank, and unless you have some kind of behemoth bowl, there isn’t enough space in there anw. leave the bowl empty; it doesnt need any fish in there. maybe plant a couple of water plants in there and it can look pretty without any fish.
how big is the tank you now have?
it may also be an idea to change the sand substrate for some kind of gravel; this is easier to clean, and more suitable for a beginner aquarist.
