I have a 40 gal tank and spotted some brown algae, will that turn to green algae later when the tank mature?
Fish tank is 4 weeks old running a Fluval 305, Theo heater @ 82 degrees, lights are on a timer 9 hrs a day, Eco Bio Rock, two 9″ bubble wands, rock caves and a driftwood. 3 Red Zebra, 2 Yellow labs, 2 Julie Convicts, 2 Blue German Rams, 1 Blue Zebra, 1 Gabbicep Placo
brown algae is really od no concern and no, it won;t turn green
its called diatom algae, most likely from silicates in your tap water..
no biggie
easy to remove
