Why silver nitrate can increase more efficiency for CO2 separation?
i am doing experiment about CO2 separation by liquid membrane…why when i add AgNO3 into liquid membrane…the efficiency of CO2 separation increases.
Anything that affects the ability of the CO2 to absorb into and then desorb from the membrane can affect the CO2 separation efficiency. You could probably try other (less expensive ) salts to see if any salt will affect the transport or if there is something unique to the AgNO3 that as sits the efficiency.
There is a company called Carbozyme that uses an enzyme based liquid assisted CO2 membrane technology that you may want to explore.
