Nano Reef Tank Tips

I want to set up a 10 gallon salt water tank, I need some tips!?
Ok so ive been researching on this stuff for like 2 years off and on.
I keep coming back to it and i really want to set up one.
but it would be a 10 gallon tank.
I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO SAY!
“Thats wayyyy to small for a beginer, it wont work, blah blah blah”
well on nano-reef.com people have done these for their first tank and it works.
SO!
Some of my questions are:
I will have live sand and live rock. Do I need a light for it? If so what kind? should i just go ahead and get one for coral since i might to that later on down the road?
What are some good beginer fish for a 10 gallon?
thanks
10 gallon is very do-able ,,, ddont be stingy,,, get a large over rated filter for it,, dont overload a fish population,, one or two small damsel fishes, some hermit crabs, ,,yes you need a light of some kind ,,, need day and night cycle,, corals would be difficult, lighting requierments and water quality would be a continuous issue on such a small environment,,,, regular water changes ,, very regular
