witch is more for your money and better for coral
The Current Outer Orbit is a discontinued fixture. If you can find the fixture new, it is obviously left over from older inventory. Normally this isn”t an issue, however, if you have any problems with the fixture, you might not be able to readily find replacement parts.
The Current Nova Extreme Pro T5 is a really good fixture. You can basically keep any animal (coral/invertebrates) under T5’s. The only drawback to T5’s is the depth you can keep coral. If your tank is taller than approximately 20″, T5’s become much less effective. Therefore, if your tank isn’t taller than 20″, the Nova Extreme Pro is ok.
I’ve used the Nova Extreme. I am also using the WavePoint 48″ T5 fixture. The WavePoint is constructed with MUCH higher quality than the Nova. I’ve linked it below. You should at least check it out before making your decision.
