should i get this tank and filter for my betta?

i was looking for just a plain 5 gallon tank and use that filter but i dont want a package and i am going to have some plants in there to
It will help but a 2 gallon tank won’t hold a cycle so you will still need to do total water changes at least weekly to keep ammonia levels down. A filter only removes debris, ammonia has to be dealt with by bacteria build up.
Your betta would really be happier in a larger tank and definitely with a heater. They like the water temperature to be about 80F.
