Reef Tank Background
tropical looking fish?
I have a really big coral reef Bio project and a teacher with exceptionally high expectations. I think I want to include live fish as a background piece (in a tank. I’ve already got one). Does anyone know of any CHEAP freshwater fish that are reasonably common and that could pass as tropical?

is thins going to be a temporary tank?
like you’re going to bring them to school or whatever and then bring them back to the store?
if so and you have like a 20-30 gallon tank you could get several types of the ”assorted” african cichlids.. you could buy them take them to school and then return them and get your meney back and the fish can go to a good home afterwords….
african cichlids are by FAR the most marine looking frewater fish
and tropical fish can be either saltwater or fresh it just refers to the temp of the water not it’s salinity..
