Reef Tank Calcium Reactor

Is a Calcium Reactor Required?
Hey, I have a 75 gallon salt water tank with skimmer, micro balls, a great halide lighting fixture. I want coral, reefs, anemones, and inverts in my tank… is a calcium reactor required or is it just to grow the coral at a great rate?
If i need one can you recommend one please?
THANKS!
Required? No.
But if you choose a lot of fast growing hard corals or tridacnid clams, you will need to supplement calcium and carbonate in one way or another. Calcium reactors are just more of a “set it and forget it” solution than constantly mixing kalkwasser, or manually dosing liquid supplements.
