I want to do a deep sand bed should I use live sand?

In the process of setting up a 75gal Reef Tank. I am going to do a deep sand bed. How much sand and should I use live sand?
I am not new to salt water. I have a fish only with live rock in a 30 gallon tank, I am getting a new 75 to do a Reef Tank in.

A deep sand bed needs to be at least 5 inches deep in order for it to perform all biological processes. You need it deep for an oxygen free area that will convert nitrate to nitrogen. NO you do not need to buy live sand! The sand will become live from the live rock that you add. Even better would be to get a cup of sand from an established reef tank.
Most LFS have a display tank set up that they can take a cup of sand from for you. buying live sand for a DSB would be a complete waste of money as stated, it will be full of bacteria from the live rock in no time.
