Reef Tank Ick

So is garlic a miracle or not?
I know that there is really no scientific proof of it, but trying to get an idea of who has had success with garlic as a remedy for many fish ailments including preventing reinfection of ick and picky eaters. I have just recently found success with soaking the fish food in garlic extract and my fish are eating wonderfully and my blue tang has managed to avoid ick reinfection after fighting it off one time with an ick medication. I have a Reef Tank so copper was out of the question for treatment. Anyway, who has had success? Who has had failure? Just curious. Thanks!
I was discussing this topic w/ Jack Watley in the early 90s. I’ve had good luck w/ garlic for internal parasites and Jack continued to study the issue and includes garlic in many of his Discus formulas. I would trust what Jack says though don’t overdo it. I personally take chopped garlic stored in WATER and feed a small amount to my fish on occasion. I know others that use your proceedure successfully. I also add a small percentage to my frozen food mixes and this works well.
