Reef Water
How big does your tank to be to make it a salt water tank?
I am just stating with fish and i have a 25L fresh water tank.
But i want a salt water Reef Tank cos i would be really cool.
But i don’t hav “much” money so i want my tank to be as small as possible.
So how big is the smallest satl water tank you can hav?
And wat fish could i put in it? (i want a pair of clown fish or a sea horse)
and wat would i need?
You can have a 20 liter tank (5 US gallons) if you want. It would be a very small reef with limited abilities for creatures and fish.
Average small salt is around 75-115 liters or 20-30 us gallons. This size makes a nice small Reef Tank with a larger choice of fish.
Unfortunately even a 20 liter tank is too small to house even two mini horses and is way too small for two clowns.
going with the 75 liter will be fine for two clowns perhaps a shrimp or two rock and an anemone if wanted.
You will need a filter (a skimmer on these small tanks isn’t needed), salt, thermometer, dolomite/crushed coral or live sand, a hydrometer gravel vac basic items and a salt test kit.
