saltwater Reef Tank question?

i have a few red hermit crabs… one looks like it is dead and out next to its shell.. do i NEED to remove it? by trying to remove the carcus, i will have to move a lot of my rock and it might up set the fish

moving your live rock would do more harm than good I would just leave it alone the other crabs,snails, and fish will eventually consume it.
I don’t have any hermit crabs in my reef just snails. my snails do a fine job of eating other dead snails.
I try not to move my live rock because it can cause an ammonia spike in the water which is much worse than the small amount of nitrates you would get from your crab.
