PHOSPHATE REMOVER – SALTWATER TANK/REEF?

IF I HAVE cheto algae IN MY refugium DO I NEED TO KEEP BUYING PHOSPHATE REMOVER CHEMICALS?

Have you attempted feeding it to your tang? Some like it. Or you could introduce a more prolific algae, like calupera (it’s illeagal to have in some states so check) it will out grow, and out absorb the minerals in the water that the cheado needs, and kill it….but getting rid of calupera is just as big a pain as cheado…if not worse!
