Small Aquarium
I want to start a small desktop aquarium. What are some small, colorful fish that are easy to care for?
I want to get a few small fish that interact well with each other & are colorful & fun to watch. But I want them to be easy to care for, as I am just starting an aquarium. Any suggestions on what kind of fish or tanks or other stuff?
Guppies – Everyone loves guppies! Their tails (especially the male variety) are insanely pretty! They are, for the most part easy to take care of and fun to watch

Neons/Neon Tetras – The hardiest fish I ever had the pleasure of taking care of. It seems that you cannot kill these little guys! Not only did they live longer than ANY of the fish I’ve ever had, they also were the healthiest! They have a unique coloring that makes them a great addition tony aquarium.

Mollies – Good natured fish for the most part that are fun to have in an aquarium They come in a variety of colors and were some of my favorites to raise.

Red Tailed Sharks – Despite their name are quite kind and pretty! They aren’t real sharks, so don’t worry . They are great to have and a very hardy species in my experience.

Also, consider getting a “cleaner” fish like the Cory/dora Catfish. They are awesome at helping keep your aquarium clean AND fun to watch.
Make sure you have plenty of oxygen, a clean tank and good food and you will have a great time!
