How to properly clean a fish tank??

I have a small fish tank size (small enough to be transported) and I'm having trouble with ICK.I read online that can be caused by stress ick on fish that move between tanks. Usually, about Once a week I take the fish out, drain the whole, clean, and then returning the moment I'm having treatment done every day for ick but I do not know if I'm right. Is this the right way to clean the aquarium? Am I unnessecary cause stress on the fish? How do I clean the tank ick without cause? please help!

I think you be too clean! what fish do you have and the decor is in the tank? just cleaning around 20% once a week anyway for a filtration reservoir. bi-weekly at least 50% for unfiltered! That's how I clean my tanks, they range from U.S. gallons from 5 to 7.5 U.S. gallons. they are all filtered / heated / planted, 3 with gravel and sand. the setting I remove large Songs bogwood so I can vacuum underneath. with my bettas I do not go out because they are stupid and get in the way! but I'm not clear, I scoop out a small plastic box and put them aside, and gently cleaning the pop in the tank very slowly, leaving them free themselves of their own volition. I let the other fish in the tank and just make sure they are not in the way! to clean a small reservoir is and I would do: 1. prepare the new water at least 2 hours before the reservoir clean, then dechlorinate it and let it return to room temperature at least warmer if possible, to match the temperature of the tank. 2. bit off ALL power, do not move the heater! and obtain a trap, they can be obtained in fish stores. and another bucket ready for dirty water. 3. remove any bits of great decor may interfere and set aside, set the trap and shake to start the vacuum, but your hand near the bottom of it to kill any fish curious! do not take your eyes away from him, if you trap a poor fishy! maintain the trap near the gravel, sand if you hover you will need at least 3-4cm above the sand and move in a circular motion. 4. once you've removed about 20% of the water, stop the siphon (Just out of the tank). you can rinse your filter media in this old and dirty water back into the tank. replacing it or wash it with clean water means you'll kill the good life bacteria that your tank needs to stay healthy. 5. you can now thoroughly and carefully pour the new water 6. replace the set, the socket bit back and you're done! this is how I do it for 2 years now and have yet to lose a fish due to a reservoir own. you're medicated, make sure any carbon (black sooty stuff like that) is removed from the filter. this stuff takes off drugs water that you do not want to do now!
