why not try a fish forum?

Im not sure why people ask fish questions here.
I see folks ask for suggestions on a fish to buy and I see “bettas” and “goldfish”.
I see folks ask for suggestions on a good beginner fish and I see “bettas” and “goldfish”.
I see folks ask what are good additions to a 30 gallon community tank and I see “bettas” and “goldfish”

95% of the people answering the fish questions have no idea what they are talking about…and of the 5% who do I figure most of those are taking a break from an actual fish forum.

I come on here and answer questions once in awhile but I always end it with the same phrase : “I suggest you join fishindex.com so we can better help you out,the fish section here on yahoo answers is a joke.

I agree with you 100%. I don’t understand either why people with absolutely no clue answer questions. And I beg to differ with goldfish being good beginner fish. 99% of these people have them in a friggin bowl with no filter, and clean the water every 2 weeks, and then wonder why it’s laying on it’s side. They’re not a good beginner fish, because they’re one of the messiest fish and will require lots of maintenance. The only difference is, you can get them for 12 cents a piece. Just my 2 cents………….
