Online Fish Tank Design
I want to design a fish tank with live plants. But don’t know what kind of stuff to get.?
Well…. I want to design a fish tank with live plants. I am a fish owner and always have been just never had a good time keeping live plants alive. What kind of Equipment do i need? Where can i buy my plants(preferably online) what kind of ground do i need(gravel, sand, etc)?
first of all dont use an air stone if using live plants. most plants do best in regular gravel. a regular flourescent will do fine with most hardy aquarium plants, but a full spectrum daylight is best (you want about 3 watts per gallon. i buy my plants at my local shop and i recomend it becase you can make sure the plants are healthy and growing well. you dont really need any extra equipment. if you wanted you could buy fertilizers for trace minerals. i dont use them because there are usually trace minerals in tap water and they should be fine if you change the water enough.
