Tropical Fish Tank Filtration

How to set up a tank of live plants?
So I was in an aquarium for about 10 to 15 years all together. If aquariums of tropical fish and coldwater fish tanks, but I never tried to grow plants live in my tanks, do not know why … Now I want to try. So now I have a tank that is custom made and I think it's about 70 or 80 gallons, not yet settled. I want to make a tropical freshwater aquarium and if possible with live plants instead of fake ones. I know how to implement all what I need for filtering and all that fun, but how do I plant live plants properly? I know I need to get a special light for plants and nutrients, but can I plant them when I set up or should I wait until my tank is cycling and all water levels are on the right places? Thank you!
I always suggest to "plant" your plants when you start cycling, because it creates less opportunity for algae to happen because something else is absorbing excess nitrogen produced in the water other than algae. The plant that I do not mean that you plant in Initially (when you can plant your tank is stable) is Cryptocorynes because they are most sensitive to changes in water parameters. They have always recover, but nobody wants to see a plant that resembles his death. As you may know by now, research is a very important look for fish keeping, and I suggest you do some research on planted tanks and what not. The best thing to do is find plants that you like the look of, then find what they need. This is the easiest way of motivating and do research. Here is an excellent site for names, Images and information on plants: http://www.tropica.com/default.asp I hope I helped! Good Luck!
