Tropical Fish Tanks Set Up
changing from tropical fish set up to a chiclids set up HELP?
I have a 4ft fish tank currently set up for a tropical fish tank, i would love to change the set up to a chiclid set up BUT i have a 8″ redtailed black shark a 5″ redtailed black shark and a 12″ plecostomus that i would like to keep as i have had these fish for the last 4 yrs. My question is can i mix these fish with cichlids as i would not want to harm them ???
Cichlids are considered tropical fish.
Your tank is already overstocked…a 12″ pleco is a complete poop machine.
Also, there are hundreds of species of SA/CA cichlids, and thousands of African cichlid species from different lakes. You should do some research to get a general idea of what kind of cichlids you want first…
